Acucorp COBOL runs on the GNU/Linux x86 platform, but beware, for every system
you run the generated intermediate code on you need a license for the run-time
system. For me _the_ reason not to buy their product (and an extra reason to
support any free COBOL compiler).

Just to let you know, all questions like this are answered in a book called
COBOL for dummies. Yes, I was stupid enough to buy it. But with that book I
could answer a number of questions for some of my friends, questions like this
one :-).
