I'm not entirely sure what you are asking, but I'll try.
I have coldsync run from inittab:
m1:12345:respawn:/usr/local/bin/coldsync -md -d sync\:1 -d misc\:1 -l /dev/null
I then have a /usr/local/etc/palms that contains:
*Visor*|rbowen|8738|rbowen|Visor|/home/rbowen/.coldsyncrc
And, then, finally, I have conduits described in .coldsyncrc
One of these contains:
File => "$ENV{HOME}/.palm/Memos",
as a location where sync'ed files will be put.
Apparently, because coldsync is running as root, $ENV{HOME} is set to /
and so when I turn up debug I get the error that the file //.palm/Memos
cannot be found.
Is that enough information?
