If it just the IP address, this is highly possible, say, if the two
machines are on subnetworks, e.g. 192.168.0.1.  It would make more sense
for the id to be determined by the MAC address of the NIC, wouldn't it?  
Or some unique identifier based on your IP, MAC address, time, birthday,
etc., plucked out of the air when you intialize with coldsync -mI?
