Hi,
does someone here sync his Visor Edge to FreeBSD? My Machine seems to have
a problem. It might turn out, my problem is unrelated to coldsync, in
which case I beg your pardon. But maybe you could help me anyway.
My Setup: my USB controller is OHCI-Style (GA-7IXE4 onboard controller),
FreeBSD 4-STABLE (quite recent) and yesterdays Coldsync from CVS invoked
via usbd.
The Problem is: only the second sync-attempt after reboot of my computer
works. The first sync fails. A 3rd try doesn't work any longer. I raised
the Debug-Level of the USB stack in my kernel. I'll attach the
dmesg-output:
ohci0: <AMD-756 USB Controller> mem 0xefffd000-0xefffdfff irq 5 at device 7.4 on pci0
ohci_init: start
usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support

And from now on my USB stack seems to be dead. Pulling the plug of the
cradle and reattaching it to any other USB port doesn't reactivate the
device. Only rebooting the machine helps.
Any Ideas?
Bye
Michael
