Tried coldsync-2.3.0-20011210 and it does not work:

::: src/coldsync -mb ~/palmbackup/2001-12-24
Warning: no device on /dev/usb/tts/1. Sleeping
Please press the HotSync button.
Can't read record 22: -1.
Can't download record or resource index.
Error: full_backup: Can't back up "AddressDB".
Error: Lost connection to Palm.

With Coldsync 2.2.5 it works as usuall. But this version
does segfault from time to time. I tried to reproduce it
with gdb, but the segfault didn't appear. I will send you a
backtrace, when I could reproduce it.

Gruss
