[coldsync-hackers] prob w/ coldsync & conduits w/ KDE 2.1.2
Hi,
I am using RH 7.1, KDE 2.1.2, KDE Addressbook 2.0, coldsync 2.1.3 with a
Handspring Visor. Coldsync runs fine and I have a whole lot of backed up
stuff in my ~/.palm/backup and aslo as a redundant backup I have it in
~/.visor/backup.
Now the problem is that all the files in these backup directories are
identical in size except for AddressDB.pdb one is 750 bytes and the other is
17.5 kb. The latter one seems a correct size because I once accidentally
managed to wipe out all the addresses on my Visor and had to reload from this
backup file. As the ~/.palm/backup is the default location, something is
screwy somewhere. So what could be wrong ? What am I doing wrong ?
As an aside, I had downloaded the kab-fetch, kab-dump & memo-jots conduits
from Andrew Arensburg's site. I have got the memo-jots conduit to dump all my
memos from the Visor to Kjots but I can't seem to get the kab-* conduits to
work. There are no entries being added to KDE addressbook.
Can someone help please....
If you need any more info, just ask :)
regards,
Sharukh.
