Perhaps what you're seeing is not a p5-Palm thing, but a ColdSync
thing: if you create a new PDB with a Perl script and arrange the records
just so, then rely on ColdSync to sync with the Palm, ColdSync is going to
ignore the order completely, and just append new records to the end of the
database.
What if you delete the database on the Palm and use 'coldsync -mr
myDB.pdb' to upload it in its entirety?

Also, do you care about the order of records in memory, or about
the way that they're presented to the user? If the latter, then maybe a
sort block would help. If you find out how they work, please let me know.
