Conduits not working.

I am using Redhat 7.1 with KDE 2.1.2 with KDE addressbook 2.0, coldsync
2.1.3 and the kab-fetch and kab-dump conduits from Andrew Arensburg. I am
using a Handspring visor. Now, I am unable to import addrdresses into kde
addressbook or even export them to my pda. The coldsync log shows the
following errors:

Trying conduit [generic]...
  Flavor set 0x04 doesn't match 0x1
        =>Not applicable.
Trying conduit /home/spavri/.visor/.kab-fetch...
  Creator/Type doesn't match
        =>Not applicable.
Trying conduit /home/spavri/.visor/.kab-dump...
  Flavor set 0x02 doesn't match 0x1
        =>Not applicable.
Trying conduit /home/spavri/.visor/.memo-jots...
  Flavor set 0x02 doesn't match 0x1
        =>Not applicable.

what do these error messages mean ?

This is part of what I have in my .coldsyncrc:

--------------------------------------------------
conduit fetch {
                path: "/home/spavri/.visor/.kab-fetch";
                type: addr/DATA;
        }

conduit dump {
                path: "/home/spavri/.visor/.kab-dump";
                type: addr/DATA;
        }

--------------------------------------

putting quotes around addr & DATA does not help.

On running coldsync, everything is backed up to ~/.palm/backup *except* the
Addresses. And there are no non ascii characters in my addresses on the pda.

please help,

regards,

Sharukh.
