I can't tell yet, but I will do some testing and try to narrow down
exactly when it's happening.  Thanks for the pointers, I'll give you a
better report soon.  :)

Well, if there were a way to replace malsync with a coldsync conduit, I
would be very happy.  Likewise, the only pilot-tool program I'm using is
install-memo.  If there were a way to do this with coldsync, that would
be groovy, too.  :)

I'll take a closer look and let you know what I find.
