I'd say that depends on how often Palm decides to change their
protocols. If they do changes often enough, which remains to be seen, it
is highly possible that it would make sense to have a seperate driver for
each model, and could be a lot less confusing than remembering that
"usb_simple" corresponds to a Palm 50x, "usb" corresponds to a visor, etc,
etc.
