[coldsync-hackers] Problems with Visor

Ok, I have a Handspring Visor and I am trying to sync it up to my Linux
machine via USB.  I am using kernel 2.4.0-test8 and I used the USB
Handspring Visor found here:
http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/mini/Handspring-Visor-2.html.  I am using
the latest version of coldsync as well.  Well, when I run this:
$ coldsync -p /dev/visor 
I get this crap:

That is a lot of crap and I have no idea of how to sort through it. 
But, does anyone have any ideas as to how to get this working?  Thanks.
