I would certainly be interested to hear your views, even though at this stage I
have a strong bias to strictly limit extensions early on (based on what it cost
me in the preprocessor). The key thing is to get a usable and correct V1.0 out
there. Having some idea what we need to support later can help avoid bug design
mistakes early on.
