Yes, it's different.  In COBOL-20XX we have

     { arithmetic-expression-1        }
     { index-name-1 { +/- integer-1 ] }

I knew the old restricted expressions were in COBOL-74, but I thought they 
were replaces with full expressions in COBOL-85.

This version of Eudora "corrects" the date to my time zone.  Uhhhhh, except 
I just checked and your original message was at 20:35 -0500, so that should 
have been 05:35 PM.  No matter, I've already changed my time formatting.
