Hi again,
I posted a few questions a couple of weeks ago regarding using single
conduit file set for multiple users. Anyway I have sorted most of it out.
FYI I came across this -
http://lovecraft.die.udec.cl/prog_lang/PalmOS/SystemFeatures.html#940296
- it explains saved and unsaved prefs. I did like the finding god
explanation tho :)
Now for my questions :)
Other than writing a 'sync' conduit, which i understand is hard work, is
there anyway to extract the palm username and serial number in a
conduit? I really need this data for my conduit to work as it needs to
authenticate against a webservice. I currently have it working on a 1
user setup, but i don't really want to store a set of conduits per user.
The only idea i have had so far is to run a simple sync conduit first
and write a temp file to hold this data, but then i have the problem of
knowing which file to look for - back to square 1.
Thanks in Advance
Dave
