RE: [coldsync-hackers] Memo categories



Everyone should be aware that there is a difference between syncing
categories (ie changing them from two different sources) and copying the
categories, changed or otherwise (ie category changes on pda only)

If the categories only change on the pda, I've been using the copy-appinfo
conduit that came with coldsync (or I got it from the coldsync web site).
This allows something between a fast sync and a slow sync.  It allows a fast
sync for the majority of the data and makes sure it gets the categories.
For this I had to explicitly enable the generic sync conduit in
coldsync.conf to get both sync conduits to run

The original poster could perhaps modify the current std-categories conduit
to meet their purposes as well
