Re: [coldsync-hackers] Clie S300 times out before sync
Debian flavor is Potato
I upgraded to 2.4.18 and the machine now knows I have a PDA!
It does not seem to be backing up however.
coldsync -mI produces:
rdb@debian:~$ coldsync -mI
Warning: no device on /dev/ttyUSB0. Sleeping
Please press the HotSync button.

Thanks for the tip on the kernel. Any idea what should be my next step?

ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
I have looked for the various .coldsyncrc configurations listed in the
archive, and tried to try them all, but still no sync.
/var/log/messages contains:
Jun 28 23:46:15 debian kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/2,
assigned device number 16
Jun 28 23:46:15 debian kernel: usbserial.c: Sony Clié 3.5 converter
detected
Jun 28 23:46:15 debian kernel: usbserial.c: Sony Clié 3.5 converter now
attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs)
Jun 28 23:46:35 debian kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame#
1725
Jun 28 23:46:35 debian kernel: usb.c: USB disconnect on device 16
Jun 28 23:46:35 debian kernel: usbserial.c: Sony Clié 3.5 converter now
disconnected from ttyUSB0
.coldsyncrc:
listen serial {
protocol: simple;
device: /dev/ttyUSB0;
speed: 115200;
}
pda "Clie" {
directory: /home/rdb/MyPilot;
default;
}
though is has had protocol: net, id tags, etc.
I have tried the ~.4 in memo (on the Clie), but I get no info (I might
be missing a step.
I have synced with Win2K on the same dual boot machine and a Win98
machine at work.
Debian 2.4.17
coldsync 2.2.5
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
