Whenever I need to set up a new Palm (or reset my Palm after a hard reset) I
have to shut down the coldsync daemon that I run from inittab to initialize
the Palm with coldsync -mI
It's not a problem right now since I'm using a test server, but is there a
way around this?
right now I:
comment the line in inittab
killall -HUP 1
coldsync -mI
uncomment the line in inittab
killall -HUP 1
I suspect their isn't another way since coldsync is controlling the serial
port.
I suppose in a network setting, the server could be used for network syncs
only, and the local serial port used for initializing only.
