If the sync process is being rewritten, I understand that having the
/etc/palms is a security measure so that coldsync can be run as the Palm
user
If the palm is read to get the user, could the pda blocks be moved into the
/etc/palm file so that adding a palm user is a little easier (ie change one
file instead of two)
I'm looking at this from a user viewpoint - I don't know what kind of havoc
this could wreak
PS - we seem to have multple conversations overlapping on this thread.
