Here's my /etc/inittab line that works with my Palm IIIe (serial connection)
and Red Hat Linux 7.2
P0:2345:respawn:/usr/local/bin/coldsync -s -t serial -dsync:5 -dmisc:5 -l
/var/log/coldsync -md ttyS1
This isn't a direct answer to your question but thought that knowing that
I've got COldsync working with RH 7.2 might give you hope
The -dsync:5 -dmisc:5 -l /var/log/coldsync options might help you debug
your problem (change the 5's to something less for lesser logging)
