I looked around but don't seem to be able to find the email.  Most of
the useful information is embedded in the usb code in coldsync.  Essentially,
they documented the fact that you can ask about what services are
on what USB end-points, and what the magic numbers were for a few of
the possible services (including the hotsync service).  But there
was no specific documentation on the protocols used over the USB
pipes.
