[coldsync-hackers] Feature freeze

Judging by the talk on this list, ColdSync is undergoing a
major growth spurt: there's lots of talk of cool new features and so
forth.
At the same time, it's been several months and lots of new
functionality since the last stable release, so I'd like to pause for
a moment and release one.
Hence, I'm declaring a feature freeze on version 2.2.x. If you
know of any serious bugs in the current snapshot that shouldn't be
allowed in a stable release for a production environment, please let
me know ASAP. Likewise, if the documentation is wrong or incomplete,
please let me know.

There are a few bugs that I'm going to allow in the stable
release, partly for historical reasons, partly because it would take
too long to fix and test them. Off the top of my head:
	- Can't sync Palm m50x over USB under *BSD.
	- Characters dropped in serial and USB connections under
	  Linux.
	- Any bugs in network syncing.
	- Doesn't compile under Tru64 with DEC/Compaq's linker.

2.3.x will be the new development branch.
