[coldsync-hackers] m500 + usb + freebsd
Hi!
I've read some archives from this list about m50x and found that it possibly
can work under FreeBSD, so i gave it a try:
I fetched snapshot coldsync-2.2.2-20011012 and compiled it with --with-usb
The cmdline I ran was:
$ coldsync -mI -p /dev/ugen0 -P net -t usb -v -dsync:5 -dmisc:5 -dio:5
And.. usbd correctly recognizes my palm, coldsync also recognizes the device
but after the messages 'Hotsync endpoint name: "/dev/ugen0.2"' it waits
till hotsync app on palm timeouts, then exits.
The above cmdline generates such log (to save space I quote only lines after
openning the usb port):
Opening device [/dev/ugen0]
/dev/ugen0: Device not configured
/dev/ugen0: Device not configured
/dev/ugen0: Device not configured
Device information: /dev/ugen0 vendor 0830 (Palm, Inc.) product 0001 (Palm Handheld) rev 1.00 addr 2
ConnectionInfo: entry 0 function Generic on port 1
ConnectionInfo: entry 1 function Hotsync on port 2
first setup 0x1 returns 2 bytes: 0x01 0x00
Hotsync endpoint name: "/dev/ugen0.2"
usb read: Input/output error
slp_read: read: Input/output error
Error during cmp_read: (1) Error in system call or library function.
Error: Can't connect to Palm.
Calling io_drain()
Freeing sync_config 0x8092070
ColdSync terminating normally
Any ideas what can be wrong?
(I've tried also with protocol m50x but also without success)
best regards,
Jedrzej
