its not that easy. i'm going to have to modify the build process so PREFIX
doesnt get passed in the environment to perl. MakeMaker is picking up
PREFIX from the build environment and using it as its prefix. i've removed
all the places that coldsync is specifically forcing the prefix but the
environment is being annoying.
