I just downloaded 1.6.6 in the hopes that the ACK timeout problem is
fixed. Sadly, rather than one timeout, now it is a sequence of timeouts
ending in failure. The only way to recover the old behavior (still a
single non-fatal ACK timeout) was to change:

speed: 57600;

from 115200.

I'm using linux with kernel 2.2.16. Is it just me or is the serial
stuff getting somewhat less reliable with increasing version numbers?
