[GNU-COBOL] Parser generators

I have finished the 'preprocessor' and tested it, and I will post on the
net when I get back to Australia. I added support for fixed R-margin as
it was strongly suggested that a lot of people depend on it.

At the moment I am looking at parser generators for the compiler proper.
Originally I thought of using bison but this would require a lot of
tedious, bug prone hacks.

I know that some of you have been doing research on the parser
generators available. I wonder if you would mind sharing your learnings
with the rest of us (good and bad)?

I have been playing with btyacc and it looks good so far. But I have no
desire to revinvent the wheel,

Tim Josling
