When I run coldsync using initialization mode, the program stalls on
"Please press the HotSync button" and then I get "Can't open USB
device". I have tried calling coldsync before pressing the HotSync
button and then after pressing the button. In both cases, this is
the actual output:
# coldsync -p /dev/ttyUSB1 -t libusb -v -v -v -mI
Please press the HotSync button.
pconn_libusb_open: Can't open USB device.
Error: Can't open connection.
coldsync is installed from coldsync_3.0.pre4.cvs20040225-1_i386.deb on
Debian Sarge. This is the actual version information:
# coldsync -V
coldsync version 3.0-pre4.
ColdSync homepage at http://www.coldsync.org
Compile-type options:
WITH_LIBUSB: USB (libusb) support.
HAVE_STRCASECMP, HAVE_STRNCASECMP: strings are compared without
regard to case, whenever possible.
Default global configuration file: /etc/coldsync/coldsync.conf
My Zire is the model with a Motorola Dragonball EZ 16MHz processor
running Palm OS Version 4.1.2.
