Hi,
This is my first post to this list, so please go easy on me :-)
I am interested in contributing code to add support for a palm
application, namely John Leung's Accounts & Loans 2.1.1
http://accsnloans.com
I have written code to pack/unpack the records. It's currently
written is Perl, so first I was hoping to add it to the p5-Palm
package.
I am also planning to convert it to C and add it to the standard
set of parsers. I notice pilot-link contains libpisock which has
routines for handling the standard set of palm application databases.
After that I was hoping to build upon the library to add functionality
to coldsync, jpilot or something else in order to build some way for
the desktop to add/change ANL records on the palm pilot.
Questions:
Does anyone foresee any potential pitfalls with my approach ?
How does one go about contributing code to p5-Palm ?
Thank you for listening,
- mike
