My kernel config contains:

# USB support
device          uhci            # UHCI PCI->USB interface
device          ohci            # OHCI PCI->USB interface
device          usb             # USB Bus (required)
# load these as modules
device          ugen            # Generic
device          umass           # mass storage
device          scbus           # usb support????
device          da              # usb support????
device          pass            # usb support????

And, kldstat shows all these modules.

I want to get past this point, maybe something will reveal itself when
we get to actual i/o stuff?

Does Palm still keep the hotsync stuff close?  uSoft only, no interest
in 'NIX market?
