[coldsync-hackers] Coldsync libpdb.so

Greetings List,

I'm using coldsync 2.3.1 (2.3.1+20020318) from Debian unstable (also
known as sid) and it's just great,.

It comes with some man pages for some C routines, to access .pdb files,
but there is no library to link against. Looking at the source, there
are comments in libpdb/Makefile:

# It might be a good idea later on to install the library, so that
# people can write other programs that communicate with the Palm, but
# not just yet.

What's the current status/plans? Is there going to be a library so
conduits can be written in C or another language wrapper? I'm actually
desiring to use it from Python. I was going to try my hand at a pure
Python library (can't really stand Perl anymore) but I just don't seem
to have the time.

-Dale
