serial is not a protocol, is just a connection method. You run a protocol
over a connection.
In this case, we use the net protocol over a serial connection ( using the
visor.o driver, under Linux, the USB connection is exposed as a serial
one to the user)
Give a look to the file README.usb in the CVS for further details.
