AFAIK, official Palm strategy on this situation is as
follows:
1) Palm do not track changes in fields, only whole records
2) If any field is changed, record is marked as "dirty"
3) If record is changed in both Desktop(server) and Palm,
no matter what field changed, duplicate records created (
if you choose Sync, not Overwite method )
