RE: [coldsync-hackers] Re: Redux: Netsync + [X]inetd

I still can't get a network hotsync to work at all

I entered
coldsync -t net
at the command line and it says
Please press the HotSync button.

I set the Palm IIIe Hotsync program to Lansync and set the primary PC to my
linux box name and IP number

I put the Palm in the cradle attached to a windows box running Palm Hotsync
(the windows program that came with the Palm) and hit the cradle hotsync
button

A dialog box on the windows box pops up saying "looking for pentium_75" (my
Linux box) but then says it can't find it. If I ping pentium_75 from the
windows box, the linux box replies. If I remove the name from the PalmIIIe
hotsync primary pc setting and just use the IP, the windows hotsync tries to
sync with the local box (it doesn't even look for a network box)

Any ideas?

For those of you who have been able to get the network hotsync working
through coldsync, what mechine configurations were you using (ie was anyone
connecting from the Windows Palm hotsync program?)

Oh yeah, I have
netsync-wakeup 14237/udp # Palm network hotsync wakeup
netsync 14238/tcp # Palm network hotsync
in /etc/services and I don't have a /etc/inetd.conf file
