[coldsync-hackers] m500 usb cradle problems
Hi,
I am having troubles getting my new Palm m500 to work using Debian Linux
(unstable).
When I press the hotsync button I get the following in
/var/log/messages:
--
Jan 23 20:58:37 wien kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1,
assigned device number 11
Jan 23 20:58:37 wien kernel: usbserial.c: Palm 4.0 converter detected

use and is bound to ttyUSB0
Jan 23 20:58:37 wien kernel: visor.c: Palm 4.0: port 2, is for HotSync

Which seems like everything works fine, but then I do:
--
al@wien:~$ coldsync -p /dev/ttyUSB1
Please press the HotSync button.
--
And nothing happens. I have read through newsgroup archives,
mailinglists and web-sites, but could not find a solution to my problem.
Can anybody shed some light on this problem?
tia,
Andreas
