[coldsync-hackers] Linux 2.2.20 won't sync

Some background: syncing works under 2.2.19. I have USB support
compiled as modules and I'm using coldsync 2.1.3. I've been syncing my
Visor by running coldsync from the commandline for about 4 months now.

When kernel 2.2.20 was released, I upgraded. Using the same setup,
syncing would stall at 'Identifying user' on the Visor. No errors
were given on the console. The only kernel errors I get in the logs
are:

Nov 8 16:43:39 ares kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 2, frame# 21
Nov 8 16:43:39 ares kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 22

However, I see these everytime I sync, even when it works.

This situation persisted after I upgraded modutils, recompiled 2.2.20
again, and after recompiling coldsync. Ultimately I retreated to
2.2.19.

I realize that upgrading to 2.4 would probably fix everything, and I
plan to in the short term. Meanwhile, I'd like to run 2.2.20 and be
able to sync. If anyone has any ideas about a solution, I'd appreciate
them.
