[coldsync-hackers] Slow conduits..

I am trying to write a "sync" conduit to synchronize addresses within a
given category in my address book with addresses from an unsorted HTML
file.

Everything seems to be working fine, except for the fact that the
conduit takes a long time to do all the updates (about 30 to 60
seconds), insertions and deletions that the usb connection is dropped
and
coldsync subsequently segfaults.

I'm using coldsync 2.1.3, on Mandrake 8.0, with Kernel 2.4.10-pre3, and
a Visor Deluxe with a USB cradle.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
