Does this happen every time, or only sometimes? From the
above, it looks as if ColdSync has successfully exchanged several
packets with the Palm, but not enough to complete (or even really
begin) a sync. This might happen if a packet got dropped on its way
from the desktop to the Palm (I've seen Linux drop up to 3Kb of USB
data).
For the time being, the only things I can suggest are:
- Try again, and see if you have more luck.
- Try an earlier version of ColdSync. The latest snapshot may
have broken something.
- Poke around in the code and try to fix it. If you do, submit
a patch and be listed in the pantheon of contributors.
In my experience, Linux has certain reliability problems in
this area. I'm thinking of adding workarounds for this, but can't
promise anything anytime soon.
