There is still some discussion about this.
It seems that the driver never sees those 6 bytes, so it doesn't have
anything to drop.  Suspicion is that the m50x doesn't send the data
after an ammount of time has gone by where the host hasn't asked the
device for any data.

But without real specs, or me having a device, these are all guesses :)
