I have the same problem. The GenericConduit::FirstSync gets an
string of all zeros showing "" or some random memory. 

It _only_ happens if I install sth. and I always after at least
30 seconds of synching. 

Once my Visor Deluxe has been all empty, I had no problems
installing programs.

Now I have 4MB of its memory filled. I also have very big
databases (e.g. a DOC[1] with 1MB size) and some with many
records (some thousands).

It also segfaults.

I looked through the code, but didn't understand it. I uploaded a
session with such behavior at [2]. I think the problem is
somewhere at appending to db->files. Because there seem to slip
garbage in at exactly this point.

Hope this will help. I'll investigate further, if needed.
