[coldsync-hackers] visor usb trouble

Visor USB syncing is really flaky since upgrading to kernel 2.4.4 and 
coldsync 2.0.2, On rare occasions it gets partway through and then times out. 
Most of the time it doesn't even get past the "Connecting with the desktop" 
phase. In these cases I get a series of timeout messages and eventually it 
gives up, like so:

On seeing advice from a few months back on a similar problem, I tried 
pilot-xfer, but it doesn't seem to work either. I also tried upgrading to 2.1 
temporarily; still no luck, so I'm guessing this is a driver problem?
