Ok, first a few basic questions:
	- What kernel are you using?
	- Does any other USB device work on this box?
	- What USB host controller driver are you using?
	- Is the usbserial module loaded (and the visor module if using
	  a new kernel)?
	- When you press the HotSync button on the base station with the
	  visor in the base station, what does the kernel log say?  It
	  should say something.
